Books may be borrowed or returned during circulation hours only: between 10:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Each member is allowed to check out 3 books at a time which must be returned within fourteen days. For thesis writing, 5 books can be borrowed for one month. Extension may be made if the books are not required by any other. New books can be borrowed after returning the due books. In case of failure to return books on due date, fines will be charged at the rate of Kyats 500 per day for each book. When borrowed books are lost, they may be replaced or a triple amount of the cost shall be charged. Reference books and periodicals cannot be checked out.
Reserved books can be checked out overnight. When books are returned, the borrower should make sure that the return of each book is acknowledged by the Library staff. Serious action will be taken if one is caught stealing or vandalizing books. All books must be returned before the final examination of the Second Semester. Graduating students must return books by the date set for thesis typed and bound in order to be eligible for the conferring of respective degrees.
